HI FRIENDS!  I'M SARAH.

And I never saw this coming.

Have I always loved animals? Duh, since I left the womb.

Have I always loved art? If you count doodling in class everyday.

Have I always loved marketing? No, but I started liking my business classes junior year at Georgia College (shout out to Dr. Schwartz).

And here we are. Sarahpaintspets organically combines my love for animals, art, and marketing so perfectly. Now I can't imagine my life without it!

MY STORY

My boyfriend and I's anniversary rolled around, as it does without fail every year (science is amazing). Being a typical poor college student, I did not have the money to get Charlie something nice.

Something not as typical about me is that I can paint.

I painted a watercolor portrait of his orange tabby, Merlin, and he loved it.

I thought hey maybe other people would love it too? I posted on Facebook, and from there I set out with my $7 paint set and began to paint nearly 100 other college students' animals before Christmas.

The orders have not stopped coming since.

And I bought a nicer paint set. Don't worry.

MY HEART

That adorable golden-collie mix in my logo is Toby. He was my childhood bestfriend who my family rescued when I was a little 2nd grader. Toby had a high-pitched woof,  was happiest when going on walks, and had big brown eyes that loved on your soul with every look.

We lost Toby in the summer of 2017 after several months of declining health. I get a lump in my throat even writing this, and thinking about him too hard makes me cry on the spot. But it's okay because he lived a wonderful life and is now my entire inspiration for what I do.

I know how it feels to have fully loved and mourned a sweet, good pet. I take a moment every week to sit in that so I can empathize with all the wonderful pet lovers who are my customers. Making Toby's portrait my logo is my constant reminder and promise to paint every pet as if they were my own.
